Hey guys!Let me just preface this by saying I am not super up to date with all the new patch changes. When I installed D3 again like, a week ago it felt like a whole new game. I didn't get what any menu was about. Where is inferno difficulty?
I've been enjoying the game immensely, probably logged a good 80hrs or so in a very short time.Anyway.Yesterday I started a campaign on torment 1 and found the first key and immediately googled what it was and came to a bunch of tutorials and help posts on forums. However, I don't have RoS since I can't afford it right now and the keys don't look the same or even have the same names as in all the tutorials.I understand that in RoS there is an option to create a hellfire ring and an amulet and that it has one more key(?) than just regular D3.If anyone can help me clear up what the actual differences are and what I should be aware of in order to get the body parts for the hellfire ring. In D3 apparently it's random? In plain Diablo you can farm 3 different keys from keywardens in the first 3 acts. Odeg is the Keywarden in Act I - Fields of Misery. Sokahr is the Keywarden in Act II - Dahlgur Oasis. Xah'Rith the Keywarden in Act III - StonefortThere is a 4th warden, Nekarat the Keywarden in Act IV - Gardens of Hope 2nd Tier (this is where he is post patch 2.2, I don't know if plain Diablo has that, if not he's in Silver Spire Level 1), who drops the plans for constructing the infernal machine. You only need to get the plan once unlike the keys which you'll need to get multiple times to try to roll a good ring.
Note that each of the keys has a different name, but I don't know them.Okay, now with one of each key and the plans at the blacksmith you can construct an infernal machine. You take the machine to the Heretic's Abode (behind the healer, you have to break open the door) and inside you can right-click the machine to open up a random portal one of:. The Realm of Discord. Where you battle King Leoric and Maghda for a chance to obtain the Writhing Spine.

Note that you always want to open 3 portals at a time to guarantee you get one of each portal otherwise you might come with one portal, open up the realm of chaos and then later open another realm of chaos and then another and so you end up having an uneven number of portals/organs.Once you have one of each organ you can craft the the plans of which are obtainable from squirt the peddler in Act 2. The ring automatically rolls with Increases Bonus Experience by 35% and can be worn by any character at any level.You can read more about the process of obtaining a hellfire ring ring, but the information is out of date in some places. That is definitely the level 60 key (I still have craploads of those from Act 2 MP10 runs) and you'll need one from each of the keywardens (one from each Act 1-3). You need 3 sets of keys so you can make the 3 different machines. You must run it on T6 in order to guarantee a drop, otherwise you risk the RNG gods giving no organ drop. The annoying part is that the actual key drop is not guaranteed so you'll probably have to kill the keywardens a bunch of times to complete your set.In RoS there's a lvl 70 version of the event that has a fourth MACHINE you have to craft.
So the minimum to run the full event is 4 sets of keys.I don't know if there's a lvl 60 HF amulet, so the only thing you can craft might be the Hellfire Ring. The ring is not too good now, it's generally only used only for 1-70 leveling or leeching EXP.-=EDIT: There is actually a 4th key in RoS too, from the A4 guy, forgot about him.
In Classic this guy will drop a random key after you already have the plan =-.
